Kate and her wedge pumps shoes; It is safe to say that Kate led the trend with her wedge pump heels as seen on 30th April, 2011, day after her wedding.
We all saw former Kate Middleton, the now Duchess of Cambridge, the morning after her most important day.. her Wedding on 29th april 2011, to dashing British Crown Prince William, where Kate had wowed us all in her fairytale finery including her cute high heels. And she probably wore another pair of classy high heels at the wedding party.Which as we all know, could have been quite punishing to her feet.
Kate, however, showed she is a pragmatic, sensible young lady, when she emerged onto the palace lawns, the next morning, wearing a lovely pair of comfortable wedge pump shoes. And the next day Ms Davey was seen shopping for a pair of wedge pumps herself. It’s no surprise then that the sale of Wedge Pumps and women wedge shoes are said to have sky rocketed as of the following week after the wedding. apparently the Kate effect has meant that sales of all wedge shoes have soared at high street shops such as Topshop, Next and even Clarks.. Girls will be girls. Princess Catherine, had led on the trend and we are all trending.
On my part, I have to confess that, out of curiosity at first, as someone who had never considered wearing wedge shoes, checked them out on Amazon.com.. boy was I surprised! I found here were numerous varieties of women’s wedge pumps, varying from designer ones such as Kate’s black espadrille pumps, guess women’s wedge pumps, ALDO – womens wedge pumps just to name a few, to non- branded types. And of course some quite affordable with the designer types being rather pricey. So in these online shops one is spoiled for choice.
I love shoes so I couldn’t resist ordering a pair that would do for both casual and for work wear. After a thorough check on leather ballepumps and wedge pump shoes, I ordered a pair of the ALDO Mccarrol – Women Wedge Shoe. Cost me $40.
When I got them I was so happy as they fitted me perfectly. They are also comfy and look very dressy.
I am considering getting another pair of the wedge pumps shoes but a pair of the Guess Women’s Idabel Espadrille Wedge by GUESS . They look good and are said to be very comfy on. I would probably go window shopping and try on a pair before I part with my money, for these are rather pricey at around $90 on Amazon.com
